At Allure Dental, we harness the power of cutting-edge iTero Digital Scanners to revolutionize your Invisalign experience. This state-of-the-art 3D imaging technology marks a significant leap forward from traditional putty impressions, offering a quick, comfortable, and highly accurate method of capturing your unique dental structure.
To begin, you'll speak with our team about how you honestly feel about your smile. What are the issues or imperfections that make you feel self-conscious? What would you change? What are the parts you like and appreciate about your smile?
You will then get a comprehensive oral exam to identify any issues that may disqualify you from a particular treatment. Cosmetic dentistry should only be performed on healthy teeth. If you require any restorative work, your dentist will let you know at this time.
Once we've examined your mouth and discussed with you your problems and preferences, we'll provide you with a recommended treatment plan. There are many different ways to restore a smile, so we may provide several options and let you choose which best suits your lifestyle, budget, and priorities.
Once you've agreed on a treatment plan that works for you, we’ll help you schedule your treatment appointments. We can also discuss payment options with you at this time.

Replace a single missing tooth or several missing teeth with single tooth implants. A post is permanently placed into your gum and jaw, and a dental crown will be attached to the post to restore the shape, appearance, and function of your natural tooth.
Replace several of your missing teeth with All-on-4 Implant-Supported Dentures for a lower cost than fixed full-mouth implants. All-on-4 implants use four implant anchors to support several connected crowns, allowing you to eat, speak, and live with confidence.

VERSATILE SMILE RESTORATION. Implant restorations can be used to replace one tooth with a crown, multiple teeth with a bridge, or a full mouth of teeth with implant-supported dentures. Implant restorations look, feel, and function just like real teeth. No matter how many teeth you’ve lost, you may be a good candidate for treatment with dental implants and an implant restoration.
LONG-LASTING RESULTS. When you care for them properly, your dental implants and your restorations could last decades. This is much longer than alternatives like dentures and traditional dental bridges, which makes implants a great long-term investment.
MINIMAL SPECIAL CARE. If you get a single-tooth restoration with a dental crown, you can just treat it like a normal tooth, and it’s easy to care for implant-supported bridges and dentures, too. This makes your life more convenient.

Once you’ve been approved for treatment, your doctor will schedule your oral surgery appointment and provide a surgical plan. During the surgery, your dentist in Flagstaff will make an incision in your gum tissue to securely place a dental implant in the jaw. Next, the area will be cleaned and sutures will be placed to begin the healing process.
Healing & Osseointegration
Your gums and jawbone will begin to heal once your implant has been placed. After 1-2 weeks, the incision site will be healed, but it will take 3-6 months for the implant to permanently bond with your jaw bone through a process called osseointegration. To ensure you are healing properly, we will see you for a couple of check ups during the osseointegration process.
The final step in the implant treatment process is the restoration. Your restoration, or prosthetic dental crown, will be custom crafted to match your smile and securely affixed to the titanium implant. Once your new tooth is in place, your smile will be complete!
"Everyone at Cedar Avenue Family Dentistry is phenomenal. Debra's very professional and courteous at the front desk. Maddie is a fantastic assistant. She took me right back and made sure to explain everything to me. Dr. Chittenden took the time to answer all my questions and is a very careful dentist. My visit was quick and pain free! I had a crown placed and I was out the door in 15 minutes. Highly recommend this practice"
"The moment I walked through the door I could tell I was in the right place. (I’ve had 38 years in dentistry myself and retired 3 years ago). Cedar Avenue Family Dentistry showed empathy, professionalism and concern about what I wanted from them!!! My concerns were their PRIMARY focus and they spent extra time getting to know me! Extra gentle and extra caring. Wonderful staff. Easy everything! Wonderful experience and I will definitely encourage everyone I know to give them a chance because they’ll not disappoint!"
"Cedar Avenue Family Dentistry is Amazing. When looking at the business name, many people see Dentistry. However, after you have been seen and cared for, another word starts to show...the word FAMILY. The staff is compassionate and loving and will take care of you. I highly recommend Cedar Avenue Family Dentistry."
that more than 170 million people in the US are missing at least one tooth?
If you leave a tooth out of your mouth for too long, the bone begins to reabsorb making it difficult and expensive to put in a new tooth.

How Does Invisalign Work?
Invisalign treatment uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually shift your teeth into their desired position. The aligners are custom-made using 3D imaging technology that creates a virtual model of your teeth. Each aligner is worn for approximately two weeks to gently shift your teeth until they align with the next aligner in the series. The treatment duration varies depending on the severity of your case but typically lasts around 12 months.
Am I A Good Candidate For Invisalign?
Invisalign is suitable for most people who want to straighten their teeth. However, it is best for those with mild to moderate orthodontic issues, such as crooked or crowded teeth, gaps, and bite problems. Invisalign is not recommended for treating severe orthodontic cases or complex bite problems that require more extensive treatment like braces.
How Do I Care For My Invisalign Aligners?
Proper care of your Invisalign aligners is essential to ensure the success of your treatment. You should brush and floss your teeth and rinse your aligners with lukewarm water after every meal or snack to prevent the buildup of bacteria and plaque. Avoid drinking anything other than water while wearing your aligners to prevent staining. Never use hot water, toothpaste, or mouthwash to clean your aligners as it can damage them. Always store your aligners in their case when they are not in your mouth to prevent loss or damage. If you have any concerns or questions about caring for your aligners, give us a call!
If you have minor or moderate orthodontic issues, you are likely a good candidate for treatment with Invisalign. So long as your mouth is free of any oral health issues like gum disease or tooth decay, you will probably be eligible to proceed with treatment. However, Invisalign is not for everyone. Severe orthodontic issues may not be able to be addressed with Invisalign. In these cases, we usually recommend treatment with traditional metal or ceramic braces as they can provide more powerful results. To find out about your options for orthodontic treatment, schedule your consultation today!
While Invisalign trays look very similar to night guards and mouthguards, we do not recommend that you use Invisalign as a nightguard. The clear plastic trays are designed to gently shift your teeth, not protect them. If you grind your teeth at night, we may recommend that you get a night guard to protect your teeth and go with traditional braces instead of Invisalign. If you wear your aligners at night and notice that they are becoming cracked or worn down, this may be a sign that you are grinding your teeth at night. This will affect your treatment so be sure to let your doctor know right away if you think you might be grinding your teeth.
The cost of treatment with Invisalign is usually comparable to the cost of traditional braces. Every case is different, though, so it’s important to discuss your budget with your doctor. During your consultation, your doctor will consider multiple factors including your needs, your lifestyle, and your budget before helping you decide which treatment to proceed with.
Invisalign aligners are nearly impossible to see when wearing them. This is because they are made out of clear plastic and are perfectly fit to your smile. Your trays will be custom-made trimmed to fit to your gum line for a more seamless look. Plus there are no metal brackets or wires, so you can feel confident in your smile throughout treatment. However, if you eat or drink with your aligners in, they could become stained, making them more visible.
These clear aligners are designed onto a mold of your teeth. A lab technician will apply layers of a photo-sensitive liquid resin to this custom mold. Next, the technician will expose this resin to a laser, curing it into a hard, yet flexible, thermoplastic. This plastic is called SmartTrack®, and it was created exclusively for Invisalign treatment. It’s FDA-approved and contains no BPA, BPS, latex, or gluten.
